Today we were just as busy as yesterday. When we walk up to the church there is already a line formed of people who want to be seen. Some of the patients were the same from yesterday just going to the other side.
Us newbies walked up the main road to see more parts of Talanga. Life is so much different here. It is hard to explain in words.
Today was also the first day of home visits. It is really an eye opener to how blessed we really are. We were in houses that are maybe the size of a large room in our homes. Bedrooms the sizes of closets that multiple people sleep in. The people are so happy that you are there and feel so blessed that we are able to bring them food and household items.
One house we went to was "Grandma" Rosa's home. Our church just paid to have electricity put into her home. She said she prayed about it for days and we so happy not to have to get light bulbs anymore. She has a beautiful heart.
The second home we saw was a home that is next in line to get electricity. This home had a room added on that was big enough for a bed and there are 5 people sleeping there.
I'm going to post pictures in the next post so I can post more without it being cutoff.
